Vaccines: From Pre-schoolers to College Freshmen

When it comes to school vaccines, each state has its own requirements depending on a child’s age. Learn more about why your first grader, teenager or college-bound student may need certain shots. Then reach out to your child’s school for a specific vaccines list. Universities may have a list of shots needed for young adults on the school’s website or send information in their welcome packets, along with a form for a doctor to sign.

FAFSA: New Deadline: October 1, 2016

Have college bound students? There is a  major change to the deadline for submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA. The new cutoff date is now October 1, 2016 for the 2017-2018 school year. Learn more about Federal Student Aid.

Free/Low-Cost Meals for Students at School

If your household is on a limited income, your children may qualify for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) which offers free or low cost breakfasts and/or lunches to students throughout the academic year. Schools send out letters at the beginning of the year with an application. Learn more about the program.
